In a significant administrative overhaul on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh executed a notable transfer of several IAS officers, impacting regions from Lakhimpur to Meerut. The reshuffle includes the following key appointments:

1. Anil Kumar Singh Appointed Special Secretary of Industrial Development: Anil Kumar Singh has been appointed as the Special Secretary of the Industrial Development department, transitioning from his previous role as Chief Development Officer in Lakhimpur Kheri.
2. Vijay Kumar Takes Charge as Special Secretary of Geology and Mining Department: Vijay Kumar assumes the role of Special Secretary in the Geology and Mining Department, coming from his position as Chief Development Officer in Saharanpur.
3. Umakant Tripathi Assumes Dual Responsibilities: Umakant Tripathi takes on the role of Additional District Magistrate for Finance and Revenue in Banda, while simultaneously being appointed as Additional Commissioner for Jhansi Division.
4. Jasbir Kaur Becomes Additional Commissioner of Meerut Division: Jasbir Kaur’s appointment as Additional Commissioner of Meerut Division has been made from the waiting list.
