
Ahead of the assembly elections in the state, the Madhya Pradesh government on Sunday implemented a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring a total of 18 IAS officers. The decision, which was officially announced on Sunday, involves significant changes in key administrative positions.
Among the notable changes, the divisional commissioners of Bhopal and Indore have swapped their roles. Pawan Sharma, who previously held the position of Indore divisional commissioner, will now take charge as Bhopal divisional commissioner, while Mal Singh Bhaydiya assumes Sharma’s former position in Indore.
Furthermore, five collectors, including the one from Chhindwara, have been reassigned to new postings. Manoj Pushp, a 2011 batch IAS officer who was serving as additional chief secretary for Women and Child Development in Madhya Pradesh, will now be taking over as the new collector of Chhindwara. He brings valuable experience from his previous role as Rewa district collector.

In addition, Sanjeev Shrivastav, a 2011 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new district collector of Bhind.

In a significant move, V. S. Choudhary, a 2012 batch IAS officer, who previously held the position of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) commissioner, has been assigned as additional secretary for urban development and housing.

Another notable appointment is that of Frank Nobel A., a 2013 batch IAS officer, who previously served as Guna district collector and will now take charge as the new BMC commissioner.
Several other districts, including Umaria and Panna, have also witnessed transfers in their respective district collectors.

Moreover, Sandeep Yadav, the Ujjain divisional commissioner, has been entrusted with the role of principal secretary for the revenue department, indicating the importance of the revenue portfolio in the government’s priorities.
Lastly, Sanjay Goyal has been appointed as the new commissioner of Ujjain, another crucial position that plays a vital role in the administration of the region.
