Shivraj Singh Chouhan

With only four and a half months remaining for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, the state is witnessing a flurry of transfers in its administrative machinery.

In a significant move, the government led by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has transferred nine IAS officers, including six collectors, in a major administrative reshuffle. Additionally, officers involved in election duties, who have completed three years in the same district, are also being reassigned. The General Administration Department has issued a notification to this effect.

The districts affected by the collector transfers are Datia, Tikamgarh, Ashoknagar, Sheopur, Alirajpur, and Agar Malwa. Sanjay Kumar, a 2011 batch IAS officer, has been shifted from Datia and appointed as the collector of Sheopur. Similarly, Shivam Sharma, a 2013 batch IAS officer, has been relocated from Sheopur and entrusted with the responsibility of Deputy Secretary in the government.
