In a significant development, the Uttar Pradesh Police Department has witnessed a major reshuffle with the transfer of eight Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. These strategic changes aim to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of law enforcement across the state.

Among the notable transfers, Nilabja Chowdhary, the current Joint Commissioner of Police Crime and Headquarters in Lucknow, has been appointed as JCP Crime in Kanpur. Meanwhile, Akash Kulhari, who serves as the Additional Commissioner of Police in Prayagraj, will now assume the position of JCP Crime in Lucknow.

Ravi Shankar Chhavi, the Additional Commissioner of Police in Gautam Buddha Nagar, has been designated as DIG Public Grievance in Lucknow, emphasising the importance of addressing public concerns and grievances. However, the transfer plans for Amit Sharma, currently serving as DIG of the State Special Investigation Team in Lucknow, have been abruptly canceled. This unexpected turn of events has resulted in him retaining his position.

Bablu Kumar, the dedicated Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Prevention of Corruption Organisation in Lucknow, has been relocated to Noida, where he will now serve as the Additional Commissioner of Police. This move underscores the commitment to tackling corruption and maintaining law and order in the region.

Furthermore, Pawan Kumar, who previously held the position of Superintendent of Police (SP) for the Anti Narcotics Task Force at Headquarters in Lucknow, will now assume the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police in Prayagraj. This transfer highlights the administration’s efforts to combat the drug menace and uphold public safety.

Lastly, Suniti, who was recently appointed as SP at the Administration, Headquarters of the Director General of Police in Lucknow, has been reassigned as DCP in Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar. This reallocation of responsibilities aims to optimise the utilization of skills and resources within the police force.

In conclusion, the recent reshuffling of IPS officers in Uttar Pradesh reflects a proactive approach to strengthen law enforcement and ensure effective administration throughout the state.
