In compliance with the order issued by the Energy Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh, on 4 May 2022, Ujjwala Baghel took over as the Managing Director (MD) of Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company. As per the order of the State Government, he has been posted as MD till further orders. It is to be known that Chhattisgarh Government has merged the holding company of Chhattisgarh State Power Companies with Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company. Baghel has been appointed as the first MD of Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company formed after the merger.

According to the order issued by the Energy Department of the Chhattisgarh Government, she will continue to hold her additional charges.
After assuming the newly assigned charge, Baghel has expressed her gratitude towards the state. After assuming the charge of MD of Transmission Company, senior officials of the power companies and other officers congratulated her on the appointment.
