Haryana Government Inks MoI with Saskatchewan Province, Canada to Enhance Strategic Partnership

Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal said that with the “Go Global Approach” the signing of the Memorandum of Intent (MoI) between the Haryana Foreign Cooperation Department (FCD), and the Ministry of Trade and Export Development of The Province of Saskatchewan of Canada, is a step in the direction to establish a “Heart to Heart” connect between Haryana and Saskatchewan.


Haryana Foreign Cooperation Department (FCD) and the Ministry of Trade and Export Development of The Province of Saskatchewan of Canada signed an MoI, the aim of which is to identify, facilitate, support, strengthen and enhance opportunities and strategic partnerships between Haryana and Saskatchewan.

The MoI was signed by Principal Secretary, FCD, Yogender Chaudhary and Deputy Minister, Ministry of Trade and Export Development at Government of Saskatchewan, Jodi Banks.

The MoI covers broad areas of work that will help build collaboration between the Saskatchewan India Office and FCD, through collaborative efforts in the field of skill development, academic study, and research; trade and investment missions; parliamentary exchanges; and any other areas of joint interest.

Minister of Trade and Export Development, Saskatchewan, Jeremy Harrison said that this MoI is a good way to explore mutually beneficial opportunities to grow together. He said that Haryana and Saskatchewan share many similarities and common goals, and this agreement will help to work together to identify opportunities for mutual economic development.
