Mangaluru City Corporation to Soon Launch Online File Tracking System for Citizens’ Convenience

Citizens of Mangaluru would soon have the facility to check the status of their applications online and track the file movement. The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) will soon roll out an online file tracking system for the convenience of the citizens. Once the system is introduced and is up and running, the citizens need not have to visit the Corporations office for fetching updates on their applications. Instead, they could log on to the civic body’s website and check the status of their applications through an acknowledgment number which would be created at the time of file submission. Numerous processes including trade licenses, water connections, property tax, etc. will be made a part of the online file tracking system.

As per a report by TOI, Mangaluru’s MCC Commissioner Akshy Sridhar said that the civic body has already achieved the 50 per cent digitisation target under the paperless office programme.
