Sanjay Pandey becomes Commissioner, Mumbai Police & Rajneesh Seth DGP, Maharashtra

In a major move to revamp the police lineup of Mumbai, the Government of Maharashtra issued orders to appoint Sanjay Pandey as the new Police Commissioner of Mumbai. Pandey will be taking over the charge from Hemant Nagrale the incumbent Commissioner who has been assigned the post of Director General, Home Guard.

Ahead of the orders, the 1986-Batch IPS officer, Sanjay Pandey was appointed as Director-General of Maharashtra Police. However, the move received opposition and Pandey was moved to the post of Mumbai Police Commissioner. Rajnish Seth has been assigned the charge of Director General of Police by the state government.
