Amidst Rising COVID Cases, Chhattisgarh Govt Orders ‘Work from Home’ for All

With the rising number of COVID Omicron cases in Chhattisgarh, the state government has given instructions to the government offices and private companies to strictly follow Work From Home. However, the orders said that Work From Home will not be applicable for medical services, water supply, sanitation, electricity supply, fire services, law and order and other essential services.

To prevent rising COVID cases, guidelines have been issued to the government officers and employees to use masks and sanitisers mandatorily. Besides, departments have been asked to host all the meetings virtually through video conferencing.

As the cases are rising, so is the fear of the third wave of the COVID. Today, 1454 new cases have been registered in Raipur alone. Meanwhile, four patients have died. There are 19,222 active cases in the state.
