Punjab transfers 5 IAS officers amidst minor administrative rejig

Amid a minor administrative reshuffle, the Government of Punjab issued orders for transfer and posting five IAS officers in the state.

  1. Malwinder Singh Jaggi (2005-Batch IAS) has been appointed as Chief Administrator, Punjab Urban Planning & Development Authority, SAS Nagar. Jaggi will also hold the additional charge of Director, Social Justice, Empowerment & Minorities.

  2. Vipul Ujwal (2009-Batch IAS) will assume the charge of Director, Social Security, Women and Child Development. He will also take up the additional charges of Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and Special Secretary, Social Security, Women and Child Development.

  3. Devinder Singh (2010-Batch IAS) has been made Special Secretary, Home Affairs & Justice with the additional charge of Executive Director, Punjab Stats Scheduled Castes Land Development & Finance Corporation. Also, Singh will take up the charge of Executive Director, Backward Classes Land Development and Finance Corporation (BACKFINCO).

  4. Puneet Goyal (2010-Batch IAS) has been transferred and posted as Director, Local Government with the additional charge of Managing Director, Sugarfed.

  5. Bhupinder Pal Singh (2011-Batch IAS) gets the charge of Special Secretary, Revenue & Rehabilitation.
