Post a nod from the Odisha government for a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the state’s police lineup, 16 IPS officers have been transferred.

M Akhaya (1988-Batch IPS) has been given the charge of CMD – OPH and WC. He was presently returning from Central deputation.

Satyajit Mohanty (1988-Batch IPS) who is presently working as Director, Intelligence has now been transferred and posted as DG-FS & CG, HG,

Lalit Das (1992-Batch IPS) has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Communications.

RK Sharma (1995-Batch IPS) has been given the charge Director, Intelligence.

SK Priyadarshi (1995-Batch IPS) has been posted as ADGP-Crime Investigation Department (CID) Crime Branch (CB), Odisha Police.

Praveen Kumar (2002-Batch IPS) has been given the charge of Inspector General (IG) of Police, L&O.

Anup Kumar Sahoo (2006-Batch IPS) will assume the charge of DIG, Intelligence.

Dr Sarthak Sarangi (2007-Batch IPS) has now been posted as SP-CID CB.

Dr Umashankar Dash (2008-Batch IPS) has been given the charge of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Bhubaneswar.

Akhileshwar Singh (2009-Batch IPS) has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP), Puri.

Sarah Sharma (2010-Batch IPS) who is the present SP, Gajapati has been moved to Vigilance.

Prateek Singh (2014-Batch IPS) is to assume the charge of DCP Cuttack.

Soumya Mishra (2014-Batch IPS) has been given the charge of DCP Traffic.

Rahul Jain (2015-Batch IPS) has been posted as the SP, Nupada.

Vinit Agarwal (2016-Batch IPS) has been posted as SP, Kandhamal.

Sagarika Nath (2016-Batch IPS) is to assume the charge of SP, Sundargarh, Odisha Police.
