MEA transfers 5 IFS officers

IFS officers

Following the orders from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, five IFS officers have been transferred in the month of June.

Rahul Shrivastava, a 1999-Batch IFS, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Romania, on June 5. Shrivastava is presently the Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs. Monika Kapil Mohta (1985-Batch IFS officer), the current Ambassador of India to Sweden, has been transferred as the next Ambassador of India to Switzerland, on June 8.

Moreover, on June 10, Shambhu S Kumaran (1995-Batch IFS officer) has been given the charge of Ambassador of India to the Republic of the Philippines. Kumaran is the current Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Morocco. While on June 15, Santosh Jha, a 1993-Batch IFS officer, has been posted as Ambassador of India to the European Union. Most recently, on June 19, Vijay Khanduja has been posted as Ambassador of India to the Republic of Zimbabwe. Khanduja is presently serving as Director, Ministry of External Affairs.
