Shivdular Singh Dhillon is new Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar

In a recent bureaucratic reshuffle in Punjab ahead of the upcoming General Elections, Shivdular Singh Dhillon has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Amritsar. He will also hold the post of CEO, Punjab State Civil Aviation Council.

Dhillon, who was serving as Fatehgarh Sahib DC before the transfer orders, has replaced Kamaldeep Singh Sangha, who is now secretary of the Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board.

He is among six DCs and 13 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers who have been transferred ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections due to be held between April and May this year.

Dhillon, who has held various positions in the administration and departments like transport, power, local bodies, tourism and culture, civil supplies and consumer affairs, has won several accolades, awards and recognition for his dedication to his work.

A widely travelled officer, he has visited more than 30 countries and represented India at various international events in diverse fields.
