The Uttar Pradesh Government has named senior IAS official Dr Anup Chandra Pandey as the new Chief Secretary of the state.
Pandey, a 1984-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer is currently the Industrial and Infrastructure Development Commissioner (IIDC).

He is credited with the success of the UP Investors’ Summit in February this year, where a special edition of eGov magazine was launched.

Pandey takes over from Rajive Kumar, a 1981-batch officer, who is retiring on June 30.
