Govt picks up 15 new Joint Secys from different cadres

govt_of_india logoThe Government of India has issued a fresh list of appointments of 15 Joint Secretaries. Notably, once again the government has chosen to pick up the Joint Secretary appointees from different cadres and not just from IAS. They are:

Ram Subhag Singh, an IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre of 1987 batch, has been appointed as Deputy Director General, UIDAI, Chandigarh, in place of Keshni Anand Arora, an IAS officer of Haryana batch of 1983 batch.

Sanjay Ambadas Chahande, an IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre of 1988 batch, has been appointed as Deputy Director General, UIDAI, Mumbai, replacing  A B Pandey, an IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre of 1984 batch.

Sonia Sethi, an IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre of 1994 batch, currently Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture, has been appointed as Additional Director General for Foreign Trade, Mumbai under the Department of Commerce, in place of Kavita Gupta, an IAS officer of the same cadre of 1985 batch.

Rajeev Ranjan, an IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre of 1989 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Expenditure, replacing Girish Chandra Murmu, an IAS officer of Gujarat cadre of 1985 batch.

Amar Nath, an IAS officer of UT cadre of 1994 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, in place of U P Singh, an IAS officer of 1985 batch of Odisha cadrer.

A V Patil, an IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre of 1998 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services, succeeding Alok Tandon, an IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre of 1986 batch.

Vandana Gupta, Indian Post & Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service officer (IP&TA&FS) of 1990 batch, presently Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, has been laterally shifted to the National Commission for Women, in place of Sunita H Khurana, a Central Secretariat Service (CSS) officer of 1996 batch.

Vasundhara Sinha, an Indian Revenue Service (IT) officer of 1988 batch, has been appointed as Deputy Director General, UIDAI, New Delhi, succeeding Sumeet Jerath, an IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre of 1985 batch.

Dakshita Das, an Indian Railways Accounts Service officer of 1986 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, replacing Niraj Verma, an IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre of 1994 batch.

Maushumi Rudra, an Indian Defence Accounts Service officer of 1992 batch, has been appointed as Financial Adviser, National Intelligence Grid, replacing Soma Roy Burman, an Indian Civil Accounts Service officer of 1986 batch.

Pankaj Kumar Mishra, an Indian Revenue Service (IT) officer of 1989 batch, has been appointed as Director, Financial Intelligence Unit under Dept of Revenue, in place of Praveen Kumar Tiwari, an Indian Audit and Accounts Service officer of 1985 batch.

P N Ranjit Kumar, an Indian Postal Service officer of 1993 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, replacing Jitendra Sharma, an IAS officer of Punjab cadre of 1984 batch.

Sanjeev Kumar Chadha, an Indian Forest Officer from Odisha cadre of 1989 batch, has been appointed as Managing Director, National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited, replacing Ram Subhag Singh, an IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre of 1987 batch.

Subir Mallick, an Indian Audit and Accounts Service officer of 1989 batch, has been appointed as Additional FA and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence, replacing Raj Ganesh Viswanathan, an  Indian Audit and Accounts Service officer of 1987 batch.

Anandrajan V, an Indian Revenue Service (IT) officer of 1988 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence replacing Ashok Dongre, an IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre of 1987 batch.
