Ministry of Urban Development Clears Funds for Coimbatore Corporation

Union Ministry of Urban development has cleared fund of Rs 18.06 crore for Coimbatore Corporation to implement various e-governance projects.


The ministry has directed the corporation to initiate the project with the assigned amount. There are various areas to which the allotted fund would be utilised. Some of the key areas are issuance of birth and death certificates, payment of property tax, grievance management system, accounting system, and personal management.

The corporation will also initiate e-projects in various schools, hospitals and councils. The corporation plans to enhance the exiting system. It plans submission of online application forms for various services. It also wants to introduce GPS tracking mechanism to deploy and manage  solid waste management system.
