All public sector undertakings under the department of industries would migrate to the e-procurement regime, a policy which became effective from August 1. Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikkutty launched the programme at a function in Thiruvananthapuram.
According to reports, e-procurement is being launched with a view to making available to the PSUs the full complement of raw material, essential construction-related and other services in a transparent and efficient manner.

This will be made possible through the e-procurement portal of the National Informatics Centre.
