Online registration for import of livestock and livestock products in India

The Online registration for issue of Sanitary Import Permit has begun to import livestock/livestock products to India.

Charusheela Sohoni, Secretary for Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries has inaugurated the Sanitary Import Permit Information System (SIPS). The system will allow importers to submit their applications through electronically and also provide information on the status of their applications. The prescribed proforma of the application, user manual, harmonized system of codes of livestock products, feed-back from importers/users etc. can also be accessed electronically. The SIPS can be accessed on website dahd.nic.in or dms.nic.in/SIP. The system will facilitate online filing of applications, quick disposal and monitoring, it will bring e-Governance in this area also.
