ICT paves a new road to expression and self reliance: EASSy cable

The Communications Minister of South African, Ivy Matsepe Casaburri applauded the broadband ICT infrastructure network project ( inclusive of EASSy) as a mark in the history as it a beginning of a long road to communication freedom.

The sub-marine system (EASSy cable), is a collective step made towards to self-reliance  and resolution of the continent's own problems. The project would be set up to fasttrack the implementation of the broadband infrastructure network which involved construction of a 9 900km submarine (EASSy) cable from Mtunzini, South Africa to Port of  Sudan.
