PDS must be ridded of its weeds to reach its most rightful recipient
Centre has decided to invest INR 20,175 crore for as many as 27 projects under its National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) in the next four years.
Just in time before general elections, the Centre is serious about completing the pilot project of issuing multi-purpose national identity cards (MNICs) to citizens by March 2009.
Union IT and Communication Minister A Raja said “As per the 11th Five Year Plan, the Centre has allocated a sum of INR 40o,000 million for implementation of e-Governance across the country.”
The Government of Haryana has announced that the rollout of Citizen Service Centers (CSCs) called e-Disha Ekal Sewa Kendras in the state will be completed by mid April 2008. The centres would serve as a single window service delivery channel for government services and will greatly benefit the citizens of Haryana.
