Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is set to start the pilot launch of for the Passport Seva Project in June this year. This INR 1,000-crore ministry of external affairs project was awarded to TCS last year and the company will set up 79 passport seva kendras (PSK) as part of the project.
Centre has decided to set up 13 Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) in Kerala, it is the highest number in any state. Out of a total of 77 PSKs planned for across the country, 13 will be in Kerala.

The Passport Seva project began as one of the 27 Mission Mode Projects listed in the NeGP. The e-governance project aims, to issue a new passport within threedays and shorten queue time.
