The National Advisory Group on e-Governance, India, stated that there was a need for localisation of e-Governance applications and that the departments should go for localisation of e-Governance applications.
IBM Global Services India has signed a deal with the Uttar Pradesh (UP) government, India, to promote IT education at the grassroots level as well as build capacity and improve skills of the IT workforce. The programme is called Initiative to Nurture a Vibrant IT Ecosystem (INVITE).
The National Advisory Group on e-Governance held its first meeting at the Centre for e- Governance (India), under the Chairmanship of the Minister Communications & Information Technology, Dayanidhi Maran. On this occasion, Maran also released a CD containing the e-Governance Roadmaps of 15 states.
