A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Oman aimed at promoting collaboration on Information communication Technology (ICT) matters; specifically focussed on the use of ICT in government and various economic clusters but not limited to only education, justice and law and trade and customs. This MoU has been signed between Information Technology Authority (ITA) and Infocommunications Development Authority (IDA), Singapore.

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has entered into an agreement with the European Commission (EC) for massive investment in ICT enabled applications. EC has allocated Euro 8 million grant from the European Development Fund, while ITU will grant USD 500 000 fund from its own resources.
