US$20 million e-Asia and knowledge partnership fund at ADB

The Government of the Republic of Korea has set up a US$20 million e-Asia and knowledge partnership fund at ADB. The fund aims to bridge the digital divide and promote access to information and creating and sharing of knowledge through Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in the Asia and Pacific region.

HP has signed three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Kuppam i-community initiative with BASIX, Andhra Pradesh, India. The Kuppam project was launched in 2002, a three-year pilot program that was conceived by HP with the overarching goal of using the power of HPs technology to serve disadvantaged communities.
