Antigua and Barbuda branded

Dr. Edmond Mansoor, minister for Information Technology has announced the agreement of Commonwealth Secretariat to assign an ICT expert to Antigua & Barbuda for two years.

Dr. Edmond Mansoor, minister for Information Technology has announced the agreement of Commonwealth Secretariat to assign an ICT expert to Antigua & Barbuda for two years.

Expertism will be provided to Governance and Institutional Development Division in assisting the government in creating a new ICT landscape and will be responsible for conducting national surveys on ICT appropriation, coordinating cross functional government projects, bridging the digital divide, besides imparting specialised training. The expert group will also assist government in developing and monitoring ICT awareness communication plans and to is to provide project development, systems management and support services to the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and Telecommunications. The government's ICT agenda has already resulted in Antigua & Barbuda being branded as 'ICT City of the Caribbean' by the Commonwealth Secretariat regional office.
