Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) announced that people can check the status of their building plan applications online. They have to log onto the CMDA website and collect all the necessary details.
In a move to make government dealings transparent, the Government of Himachal Pradesh is planning to introduce an online system of public grievances monitoring. This e-Service will help the common man to directly send messages to the office of the Chief Minister.

Jharkhand postal services will soon go online. The Postal Circle in the Indian state of Jharkhand is launching a INR 113 crore project to make the postal services completely elctronic.
As part of the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), the Chief Minister of the east Indian state of Bihar, Nitish Kumar inaugurated a Common Service Center (CSC) locally known as Vasudha e-Seva centre in Panapur, a small village near Danapur, in the state. The Chennai Corporation has decided to make birth and death certificates online on their website www.chennaicorporation.tngov.in. This will help people to avoid standing in long queues to obtain these certifcates from the corporation office. This service will be available from September 7, 2008.
