Modi also commended the Republican Party’s success in the Congressional elections, noting that Trump’s sweeping victory reflects the deep trust of the American people in his leadership and vision.

Reflecting on the positive momentum in the India-US relationship during Trump’s first term, Modi recalled their memorable interactions, including the “Howdy Modi” event in Houston in September 2019 and the “Namaste Trump” event in Ahmedabad during Trump’s visit to India in February 2020.

Both leaders reaffirmed the importance of the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, underscoring its value not only for the people of both nations but also for global peace and stability. They reiterated their commitment to deepening ties across key areas such as technology, defense, energy, and space.

PM Modi also shared details of his conversation with Trump on social media platform X, saying, “Heartiest congratulations my friend @realDonaldTrump on your historic election victory. As you build on the successes of your previous term, I look forward to renewing our collaboration to further strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global and Strategic Partnership.
