Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone for a series of major development projects in Maharashtra worth over Rs 7600 crore via video conference on 9 October at 1 PM.
Key among these is the upgradation of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur, with an estimated cost of Rs 7000 crore. This project aims to boost growth across sectors such as aviation, tourism, logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare, benefiting the Vidarbha region.
The Prime Minister will also initiate the construction of the New Integrated Terminal Building at Shirdi Airport, valued at over Rs 645 crore, designed to offer world-class facilities for religious tourists. The terminal’s design draws inspiration from the spiritual significance of Sai Baba’s neem tree.

In line with his healthcare vision, PM Modi will operationalise 10 new government medical colleges across Maharashtra, enhancing medical education and healthcare services in Mumbai, Nashik, Amravati, and other cities.

Further, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) in Mumbai, aimed at fostering a highly skilled workforce in fields like AI, robotics, and industrial automation through a Public-Private Partnership with Tata Education and Development Trust.
