India’s semiconductor ambitions received a major boost as Tata Electronics and ASML signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening the country’s semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. The agreement was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, highlighting the growing strategic cooperation between India and the Netherlands in advanced technology sectors.
The partnership is expected to support the development of Tata Electronics’ upcoming semiconductor facility in Dholera, Gujarat, a project considered crucial for India’s long-term technology and manufacturing roadmap.

Under the agreement, ASML will provide technological and operational support for Tata Electronics’ semiconductor manufacturing unit being developed in Dholera.
