The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has issued a directive mandating all employees, including senior officers, to arrive at their offices by 9 AM and mark their attendance by 9:15 AM at the latest. The order, detailed in a circular from Manoj Dewedi, AS, DoPT, emphasises the use of the biometric attendance system for all personnel.
Employees have been granted a 15-minute grace period to mark their attendance. However, those failing to comply will have half-day casual leave deducted. The circular also stipulates that any planned absences must be communicated in advance, with appropriate leave applications submitted.
Furthermore, senior officers are tasked with monitoring the attendance and punctuality of their respective teams to ensure compliance with these new guidelines.
