Central: 5 IAS Officers Transferred, Nidhi Chhibber made Advisor Niti Aayog

The Central Government on Wednesday mandated the reshuffling of five senior officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and one Indian Accounts & Audit Services (IA&AS) of Additional Secretary rank.


Nidhi Chhibber, from the 1994 batch of IAS officers, has been appointed as an advisor to NITI Aayog. Meanwhile, AP Das Joshi, also from the 1994 batch of IAS officers, will now serve as the Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions.

Furthermore, Rahul Singh, a 1996 batch IAS officer, has been named the Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Additionally, Rajeev Kumar Mittal, from the 1998 batch of IAS officers, will take charge as the Director General of the National Mission for Clean Ganga, within the Department of Water Resources under the Ministry of Jalshakti.

Completing the reshuffle, Gyanesh Bharti, also from the 1998 batch of IAS officers, has been directed to assume the role of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD).


Also, Deepak Narain, a 1993 batch IA&AS officer, has been directed to assume the role of Additional Secretary & Finance Advisor in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
