Sustainable Development Goal 6.5 (SDG 6.5) aims to ensure the integrated management of water resources and sanitation for all. This goal is crucial for achieving sustainable development and improving the lives of people around the world. Access to clean water and sanitation is a fundamental human right and is essential for human health, well-being, and economic development.

Currently, there are still billions of people around the world who lack access to clean water and sanitation facilities. This leads to a range of negative impacts, including poor health, reduced economic opportunities, and environmental degradation. In addition, water scarcity and poor water quality pose significant challenges to agriculture, industry, and ecosystems.

Investing in water and sanitation infrastructure, encouraging sustainable water use, improving water quality, increasing awareness and education, building partnerships are some of the imperative actions that governments, organisations, and individuals must take to achieve the SDG 6.5 goals. Water Harvesting Systems, Desalination, Water Recycling, Leak Detection Technology, Drip Irrigation, Smart Water Management Systems are some technological interventions that can help alleviate the water crisis in India.

In conclusion, SDG 6.5 is a vital goal for achieving sustainable development and improving the lives of people around the world. Achieving this goal requires a concerted effort from governments, NGOs, private sector organisations, and individuals. By working together and taking the necessary actions, we can ensure that everyone has access to clean water and sanitation facilities, which is essential for human health, well-being, and economic development.
