Reshuffle in Tamil Nadu’s Police Lineup, 4 IPS Officers Transferred

Amid a minor reshuffle, the Government of Tamil Nadu has issued orders to transfer and appoint four IPS officers to new posts. The government issued the order on Thursday, February 24, 2022.


1. B Vijayakumari (IPS 2004-Batch) has been transferred and assigned the post of Additional Commissioner, Headquarters and Traffic in Avadi Commissionerate. The officer was previously posted as Inspector General (IG) of Police, Enforcement, Chennai.

2. N Kamini (IPS 2004-Batch), Inspector General (IG) of Police, Crime, Chennai, has been transferred and will be taking over the post of Additional Commissioner, Headquarters and Traffic at Tambaram Commissionerate.

3. S Jeyakumar has been moved to Chennai Crime Branch-Crime Investigation Department (CB-CID) and placed in the Special Investigation Division. Prior to the new posting, Jeyakumar was serving as Superintendent of Police (SP), Thoothukudi.


4. L Balaji Saravanan has been shifted to Thoothukudi as Superintendent of Police (SP). He will replace S Jeyakumar. Saravanan was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Headquarters, Greater Chennai Police, Chennai.
