Tamil Nadu Govt shifts 12 IPS officers to new posts

The Government of Tamil Nadu, on July 27, gave a go-ahead to a major bureaucratic reshuffle and ordered the transfer and posting of 12 IPS officers across the state.

1. Sumit Sharan has been transferred and appointed as Inspector General (IG) of Police, Homeguards.

2. R Dhinakaran has been assigned the post of IG, Idol Wing Crime Investigation Department (CID).

3. A Kayalvizhi has been transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Training.

4. V R Srinivasan has been given the charge of Superintendent of Police (SP), Dindigul.

5. G Shyamala Devi has been made Deputy Commissioner, Crime against Women and Children, Greater Chennai.

6. C Vijaykumar gets the charge of SP, Tiruvarur.

7. C Ravali Priya Gandhapuneni has been assigned the post of SP, Thanjavur.

8. Deshmukh Shekhar Sanjay has been made SP, Ranipet.

9. Om Prakash Meena has been posted as SP-II, Cyber Crime Wing, Chennai

10. V Vikraman has been given the charge of SP, Special Units, Crime Branch, CID, Chennai.

11. N Devarani gets the post of SP-III, Cyber Crime Wing, Chennai.

12. Arun Gopalan has been made Deputy Commissioner, St Thomas Mount District.
