Dammu Ravi, a senior Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of 1989-Batch, has been assigned the post of Secretary (Economic Relations) in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Monday, July 12.
Ravi will succeed Rahul Chhabra, another senior IFS 1987-Batch. Chhabra is retiring from the post by the end of July 2021. At present, Ravi is serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Europe & Covid-19, in the Ministry of External Affairs.
