
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping met on Saturday for the second day of informal talks in Mamallapuram on Saturday.
The one-on-one meeting between leaders was followed by delegation level talks.

The talk points were on the areas of joint combating of terrorism and radicalisation and recaliberation of bilateral ties. The focus of the discussion was trade deficit and trade imbalance. As per reports, there was no discussion on the Kashmir issue.
According to Vijay Gokhale, foreign secretary, the duration of the discussion was around 150 minutes and the overall discussion was very much open and cordial.
The Prime Minister also gifted the President of China a handwoven silk portrait at the lunch hosted by him on Saturday. The portrait has been created by the weavers of Sri Ramalinga Sowdambigai Handloom Weavers Co-operative Society in Sirumugaipudur in the Coimbatore district.
