Ritu Sain, a 2003-Batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the director in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).
The appointment has been made under the Central Staffing Scheme for a term of five years.
The Chhattisgarh cadre officer is currently serving as the Additional Resident Commissioner, Chhattisgarh Bhawan, in New Delhi.
Ritu Sain was earlier appointed as Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh. She was also the Collector of the districts of Koriya and Surguja.
She has also served as the Managing Director of Handicrafts Development Corporation, Chhattisgarh and Industrial Area Development of the state.
Hailing from Rajasthan, she is an alumnus of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi from where she pursued her M.Phil in South East Asian Studies. She is also an LLB.
