The Ashok Gehlot has appointed senior most IPS officer Kapil Garg as Director-General of Police in Rajasthan.
The newly formed State Government has reshuffled 17 IPS officers in total.
Garg has replaced IPS Officer O P Galhotra who has now been posted at DG (Home Defence) in Jaipur.
Anand Kumar Srivastav has been appointed as the Jaipur Police Commissioner. He has replaced Sanjay Agarwal who has been appointed as the ADG (State Calamity Action Force) in Jaipur.
Special DGP (Law and Order) N R K Reddy has been made Pro-Vice Chancellor of Sardar Patel University of Police Security and Criminal Justice at Jodhpur. Mohanlal Lathar would be now ADG (Law & Order).
Umesh Mishra is posted as ADG (Intelligence) in PHQ, Dinesh M N as IG (Intelligence), and Sanjay Shotriya as DIG in Chief Minister Security and CM Vigilance. BL Rana would be IG (Bikaner Range) and Pankaj Kumar Singh as ADG (Police Traffic) in Jaipur.
