
Day’s after assuming power in Rajasthan, the new Congress government led by chief minister Ashok Gehlot has transferred 40 IAS and 8 RAS officers in a bureaucratic reshuffle.
While Ajitabh Sharma will join as secretary to the chief minister, Arti Dogra and Rajan Vishal will be new joint secretaries in the Chief Minister’s Office.
Sharma, an IAS officer of 1996 batch, has been serving as the revenue secretary in the Rajasthan government, while Aarti Dogra, a 2006 batch IAS officer, has been serving as Ajmer district collector since April 3 this year. Rajan Vishal has been serving as the additional mission director National Health Mission.

Tanmay Kumar, who was principal secretary to former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, has been transferred to Bikaner as the commissioner, Command Area Development.

Naresh Pal Gangwar has been appointed as the new IT Secretary in place of Akhil Arora who has been moved to Social Justice and Empowerment Department. Gangwar participated in eIndia Innovation Summit organised by Elets in Jaipur.

Among the RAS officers transferred include Antar Singh Nehra, Shaheen Ali Khan, Har Sahay Meena, Lalit Kumar, Gaurav Bajad and Laxman Singh Shekhawat, who have been appointed as the joint secretaries to the chief minister.
Two RAS officers, Deva Ram Saini and Dinesh Kumar Sharma, have been made officer on special duty.

Among other IAS officers, Mukesh Kumar Sharma, who has been serving as the additional chief secretary Finance, will be appointed as the chairman, Revenue Board, Ajmer. IAS officer Rajeeva Swarup has been made the new additional chief secretary of home department, while Veenu Gupta is the new additional chief secretary, PWD.
Dr Samit Sharma, known for his work in providing affordable healthcare, particularly generic drugs, under the free medicine scheme of the previous Congress government, will now be the director of National Health Mission and special secretary, health and family welfare department.
