Google appoints Nitin Bawankule as head of India Cloud Business

Google has appointed Nitin Bawankule as the country head for its cloud business in India as the company focusses more on Cloud business in India, aiming a bigger share for itself in the cloud business.
Bawankule has been a part of the Google family for the past six years heading e-commerce, retail and classifieds and education business.
He will now report to Rick Harshman, Managing Director of Asia Pacific for Google Cloud.
“By 2020, the public cloud services market in India is poised to reach $ 4.10 billion. Business leaders across industries are increasingly adopting cloud technology because they understand it helps solve a number of real challenges – teams work better together, data becomes useful to make smart decisions and companies create new value to stay competitive in a quickly changing economy,” Bawankule said in a statement.
