e-Governance Needed for Good Governance: Gunjan Krishna

Bangalore: Gunjan Krishna, Head, SeMT, National e-governance division, Union Government stressed that e-governance is needed to simplify and standardize various processes required for good governance.

He was speaking in an interactive session with the teachers and students of Bangalore University.

In a workshop on “e-governance: challenges and prospects”, that was organised by the Department of Information Technology (DIT), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the IT Centre, Bangalore University, Krishna stressed on the need to work on the core infrastructure for e-governance.

Apart from e-governance, Krishna also emphasized on ‘mobile governance’.


According to Krishna, the number of mobile phone subscribers is much more than those with broadband connection.
