The 13 CAN Info Tech, an exhibition on information technology has been held with a motto of “New Nepal: E-Nepal” at Birendra International Convention Center (BICC), Kathmandu on January 9, 2007.

The exhibition has given stressed on the need of promoting promoting e-learning, Distant Learning, Open University, Telemedicine, e-commerce in the country. Nepal Govt. is also working on e-Governance Master Plan (EGMAP) with the support of Korean government. The Govt. is also making path for e-Governance with the financial assistance of Asian Development Bank. According to Vice-Chairman of Information Technology High Level Commission, Saroj Raj Devkota, Nepal can also become hub for IT like India and China.
