SME: A major hot spot for IT industry

Soon the Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is becoming a major investment hot spot for IT segment in India. The department of information technology (DIT) has recommended a slew of measures, which also includes financial incentives to encourage growth and development in SME sector.

The department of information technology has suggested to reduce tax up to 20% of the taxable income be provided to all IT & ITES professionals to work with SME companies. Even the DIP has also suggested to credit for developing intellectual property by SMEs to encourage SMEs to create their own products. DIP has suggested that SME should be encouraged in e-Governance projects.
