Cai Wu, Director of the Information Office of the State Council stated that they would take effective measures to put the BBS, blog and search engine under control. The Chinese government launched a program on titled 'purify the environment of Internet and mobile communication network through a series of measures.' A university study, says the news item, revealed more than 36 million blog sites that are predicted to grow to 60 million this year.
