The Maharashtra government has announced a fresh administrative reshuffle, transferring eight Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and assigning them to key positions across state departments, public sector organisations and urban local bodies. The latest postings cover important sectors such as rural development, agriculture, tribal welfare, women and child development, municipal administration and urban infrastructure.

Among the prominent appointments, Ruchesh Jayavanshi (IAS:2009) has been posted as the Managing Director of the Mahatma Phule Backward Classes Development Corporation in Mumbai.
The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening governance and improving the implementation of development programmes across the state.

Ruchesh Jayavanshi Gets New Assignment
Ruchesh Jayavanshi has been transferred from his previous role as Managing Director, Maharashtra State Agriculture Corporation, Pune, and appointed as Managing Director, Mahatma Phule Backward Classes Development Corporation, Mumbai.

His new role will involve overseeing programmes focused on the socio-economic development and welfare of backward classes in Maharashtra.

Fresh Postings for Seven Other IAS Officers
The state government has also assigned new responsibilities to seven other IAS officers.
Sridhar Dubey (IAS:2014) has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, National Rural Livelihoods Improvement Mission (NRLM), Navi Mumbai, where he will oversee livelihood promotion and rural development initiatives.
Nilesh Sagar (IAS:2015) has been posted as Commissioner, Tribal Research and Training Institute, Pune, and will be responsible for strengthening tribal welfare programmes, research and capacity building.
Jagdish Miniyar (IAS:2015) has been appointed Chief Administrator (New Towns), CIDCO, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, taking charge of planning and development activities for new urban townships.
Varsha Ladda (IAS:2015) has been posted as Commissioner, Women and Child Development Department, Pune, where she will oversee schemes related to women’s empowerment, child welfare and nutrition.
Dr. Mangesh Gondwale (IAS:2015) has been appointed Municipal Commissioner, Amravati Municipal Corporation, and will lead the city’s civic administration and urban development initiatives.
Pankaj Deore (IAS:2016) has been posted as Joint Metropolitan Commissioner, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), strengthening the authority responsible for planning and infrastructure development in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Dr. Manjiri Manolkar (IAS:2016) has been appointed Managing Director, Maharashtra State Agriculture Corporation, Pune, succeeding Ruchesh Jayavanshi.
