Kochi: The Global Hydrogen & Renewable Energy Summit 2025, held on March 12–13, 2025, in Kochi, Kerala, brought together global policymakers, business leaders, diplomats, and energy experts to discuss international cooperation, sustainable development, and the future of clean energy. During the summit, Frank Melloul, Chairman of i24NEWS, highlighted the growing importance of strategic partnerships between India, France, and the Middle East in shaping the next phase of economic growth and energy transition.
Addressing the gathering, Melloul underscored the significance of international collaboration in addressing global challenges and creating new opportunities for trade, innovation, and sustainable development. He noted that partnerships built on shared values and long-term strategic interests are becoming increasingly important in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
Strengthening India–France Cooperation
Speaking about the relationship between India and France, Melloul highlighted the strong foundation of cooperation between the two countries across sectors including technology, innovation, energy, and economic development. He noted that both nations continue to expand their engagement through initiatives aimed at fostering growth, enhancing connectivity, and supporting sustainable development goals.
According to him, stronger bilateral cooperation can contribute significantly to addressing common global challenges while creating new opportunities for businesses, industries, and citizens.
Emerging Opportunities Through Regional Connectivity
A key theme of the discussion was the growing focus on connectivity initiatives linking India, the Middle East, and Europe. Melloul highlighted the potential of strategic economic corridors and infrastructure partnerships to strengthen trade routes, improve logistics networks, and facilitate greater collaboration among participating countries.
Such initiatives, he noted, can support the movement of goods, services, technology, and innovation while creating new avenues for economic integration and regional stability.
The discussions also explored how enhanced connectivity can contribute to sustainable development by supporting investments in clean energy infrastructure, digital networks, and future-ready transportation systems.
Cooperation as a Driver of Sustainable Growth
Melloul emphasised that deeper international cooperation can deliver benefits beyond economic gains. Greater collaboration between nations can encourage knowledge sharing, cultural exchanges, and innovation partnerships that contribute to long-term prosperity and stability.
He highlighted that building interconnected economic ecosystems can strengthen resilience and create opportunities for collaborative solutions to global issues, including climate change and energy security.
Platform for Global Dialogue
The summit provided an opportunity for policymakers, diplomats, energy leaders, investors, and industry stakeholders to exchange perspectives on the future of international partnerships and clean energy transitions.
Discussions focused on the role of strategic alliances in accelerating renewable energy adoption, strengthening global supply chains, and supporting sustainable economic development.
Participants agreed that continued dialogue and cooperation among governments, businesses, and international organisations will be essential in shaping a more connected and sustainable future.
The event reinforced the growing importance of cross-border partnerships in driving innovation, supporting energy transition efforts, and creating new pathways for economic collaboration across regions.
