The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has announced a significant reshuffle involving officers at the Joint Secretary and equivalent levels across various ministries, departments, and cadres. The reshuffle spans multiple services and batches, bringing in a fresh mix of experience and leadership into key administrative positions.

Sonal Bajaj (IRS C&IT: 1998) has been appointed as Director (Finance), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), Mumbai, under the Department of Atomic Energy, for five years, succeeding M Sankaranarayann (IAS: 2003: MH). Jai Prakash Pandey (IRPS: 2003) takes charge as Joint Director General (JS level) at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation, for a combined tenure of seven years, up to 20.02.2027.

Brij Mohan Mishra (IAS: 2008: UT) assumes the role of Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, for five years up to 16.11.2026, replacing Amitabh Kumar (IRS C&IT: 1992), while Neeraj Kharwal (IAS: 2007: UD) becomes MD (JS Level), India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), under the Department of Commerce for five years.

Sudeep Shrivastava (IRSSE: 2001) joins the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology as Joint Secretary for five years, replacing Amod Kumar (IAS: 1995: UP). Siljo V K (ISS: 2004) has been appointed as Deputy Director General, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), under MeitY, for a five-year tenure, succeeding Manish Bhardwaj (IAS: 1997: GJ).

Manish Tiwari (IRTS: 1995) becomes Joint Secretary, Warehousing Development & Regulatory Authority (WDRA), until his superannuation on 30.09.2029, replacing Anirudh Kumar (IRSME: 1995). Lokesh Kumar Sharma (IOFS: 1998) takes charge as Executive Director, Food Corporation of India (FCI), for five years, replacing Manoj Kumar Jain. Hema Jaiswal (ISS: 2004) has also been appointed Executive Director, FCI, under the Department of Food & Public Distribution, for five years, succeeding Akhilesh Misra (IRSME: 1995).

Harsh Mangla (IAS: 2008: JH) has been appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare, for five years up to 24.01.2027, succeeding Latha Ganapathy (IAS: 2007: TN). Gaya Prasad (ISS: 1996) takes charge as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, till his superannuation on 31.07.2028, replacing Mihir Kumar (IDAS: 1996).

Shruti Singh (IAS: 2004: PB) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, for five years, replacing Garima Singh (CSS). Roli Shukla Malge (IA&AS: 2002) becomes Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer, Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Ministry of Labour & Employment, for five years, replacing Sanjay Pandey (ICAS: 1994).

Rajendra Kumar Agrawal (IRPS: 2000) takes over as Additional Secretary (JS level), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), under the Department of Personnel & Training, up to 30.09.2030, replacing Kumar Sanjay Bariar (IP&TA&FS: 1993). Jai Prakash Shivahare (IAS: 2002: GJ) joins the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade as Joint Secretary for five years through temporary downgrading of a vacant Additional Secretary post.

Vikas Gupta (IAS: 2001: HY) has been appointed as Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Department of School Education & Literacy, for five years, replacing Nidhi Pandey (IInfoS: 1991). Amit Yadav (IAS: 1991: AGMUT), Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, has been given additional charge as Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), following repatriation of the incumbent.

Akash Jain (IRS IT: 2013) joins as Deputy Secretary, National Recruitment Agency (HQ), Department of Personnel & Training, for four years, while Mayank Prabha Tomar (IRS IT: 2009) takes over as Director, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, for five years.

Amit Kumar Gupta (IRSME: 2008) has been appointed Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Metal Scrap Trading Corporation Ltd (MSTC), New Delhi, under the Ministry of Steel, for three years. R N Abanikant Parida (IRPS: 2011) becomes CVO, Paradip Port Authority (PPA), under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, for three years, and Vikas Verma (IRSME: 2010) assumes charge as CVO, Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA), for a similar tenure.
