In a late-night administrative reshuffle, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government transferred eight IAS officers, assigning them new roles across crucial departments in a move aimed at enhancing governance and public service delivery.
According to senior officials, the reshuffle seeks to infuse dynamism in the state’s bureaucracy, prevent administrative stagnation, and ensure timely rotation of officers for improved efficiency.
Key Transfers and New Appointments:
- Selva Kumari J (IAS, 2006 batch): Appointed Director General, Technical Education; previously served as Secretary, Planning Department and Director General, Finance and Statistics.
- Sameer Verma (IAS, 2002 batch): Moved from waiting list to Secretary, Planning Department and Director General, Finance and Statistics.
- Prabhu Narain Singh (IAS, 2007 batch): From waiting list to Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC).
- Masoom Ali Sarwar (IAS, 2009 batch): Transferred from Managing Director, UPSRTC to Chief Executive Officer, Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board.
- Ashish Kumar (IAS, 2015 batch): Appointed Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation; earlier served as Special Secretary, Stamps and Registration Department and Additional Inspector General of Registration.

- Anju Lata (Promotee IAS, PCS 2008): From Secretary, Moradabad Development Authority to Chief Development Officer (CDO), Rae Bareli.
Government sources stated that the transfers are part of a broader strategy to enhance administrative effectiveness, curb complacency, and reinforce accountability across departments.
