Ministry of Youth Affairs and Digital India Corporation Sign MoU for MY Bharat 2.0

In order to empower digital empowerment among the nation’s youth, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Digital India Corporation (DIC), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, for the development of MY Bharat 2.0. The MoU was formalised in New Delhi on June 30, 2025, in the presence of Union Ministers Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw.

The enhanced MY Bharat 2.0 platform is envisioned as a cutting-edge national digital gateway for youth engagement, aligning with the larger vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The upgraded platform will leverage emerging technologies to empower India’s ‘Amrit Peedhi’—the vibrant youth population that constitutes 65% of the country’s demographic profile.

Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya emphasised the strategic importance of the youth, stating, “India’s greatest strength and opportunity lie in its youth. MY Bharat 2.0 will harness their potential and channel it toward nation-building.”

Echoing the sentiment, Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the transformative power of public digital infrastructure. “Just like UPI and DigiLocker, MY Bharat 2.0 aims to scale with purpose and impact with speed,” he said.

The upgraded platform will be rebuilt on a modular architecture to ensure flexibility, scalability, and future-readiness. A fully functional mobile application for Android and iOS users will also be introduced to ensure accessibility across digital touchpoints. With over 1.76 crore youth and 1.19 lakh organisations already registered, the platform is poised for significant expansion.

Key AI-powered features such as a Smart CV Builder, personalized Digital Profiles, AI Chatbots, voice-assisted navigation, and speech-to-text functionalities will redefine user experience. The platform will also include WhatsApp integration for real-time interaction and geo-tagging tools for localized discovery of opportunities.

Dedicated sections within MY Bharat 2.0 will cater to career development and wellness, including the National Career Services, a Mentorship Hub, and the Fit India initiative. This holistic approach aims to promote personal growth, career readiness, and healthy living among the youth.

Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, noted, “The platform will drive value, aspiration, opportunity, learning, and community connection—all of which are central to youth engagement.”

MY Bharat 2.0 will seamlessly integrate with national digital ecosystems such as Aadhaar, DigiLocker, Bhashini, and MyGov, while also ensuring data privacy and cybersecurity compliance. Backend infrastructure will be supported by training modules, MIS systems, cloud hosting, call centers, and communication tools.

Shri Nand Kumarum, MD & CEO of Digital India Corporation, described the collaboration as “a model for digital governance that truly empowers future generations.”

As India accelerates toward becoming a developed nation by 2047, MY Bharat 2.0 stands as a pivotal initiative combining governance, innovation, and youth-centric solutions. It represents a strategic investment in the country’s demographic dividend and a leap forward in making India’s youth the driving force of national transformation.
