In a remarkable boost to Tripura’s investment landscape, the state has secured commitments worth Rs 15,646 crore during the Rising Northeast Investors Summit 2025 held in New Delhi. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who described the development as a pivotal milestone in Tripura’s journey towards accelerated economic growth and transformation.
Highlighting the event’s success, Dr. Saha stated that 33 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed, reflecting the confidence of national and international investors in Tripura’s evolving business ecosystem. “This figure is more than a number—it represents the trust and belief investors have in the potential of our state,” he remarked.
Dr. Saha noted that the Tripura Investors Pavilion witnessed significant engagement and drew enthusiastic responses from industry leaders, particularly in emerging sectors such as technology, 5G, and artificial intelligence (AI). The summit also featured a special session titled “IT for Ashtalakshmi: Beyond the Bits and Bytes, Into AI and 5G”, where the Chief Minister highlighted Tripura’s readiness to embrace the digital future.
To further support this growth, Dr. Saha announced strategic initiatives including the allocation of land for upcoming data centres, such as one being developed by Airtel in Agartala. This facility aims to serve the broader eastern and northeastern regions of India.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to fostering a conducive business environment, the Chief Minister urged stakeholders to collaborate for inclusive development. “Tripura is open for partnerships. We are here to support investors at every stage and unlock new avenues for mutual growth,” he asserted.

Dr. Saha concluded by appreciating the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region for organizing the summit and promoting the economic potential of the ‘Ashtalakshmi’ states, describing them as embodiments of prosperity and opportunity.
